Kris Valerio
Kris Valerio is proud to serve the thriving regional tech community as the Executive Director of the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council. Kris brings an eclectic background to her role at CRTC starting with her first career as an actor, writer and producer. Following 8 years in New York City, Valerio returned to the Baltimore Washington area and worked her way through "conventional business" boot camp. Kris graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts and Communication. She is thrilled to connect the dots between the arts and tech communities through her participation with Ignite Annapolis!
Jennifer Troy
Jennifer Troy is an entrepreneur and community leader. In 1995 she co-founded local Internet service provider ToadNet and served as Director of Operations for that company until its sale in 2004 to Landmark Communications. Since then, she has been an active board member with the Scenic Rivers Land Trust and has helped organize that group's annual "Walk For the Woods," which seeks to highlight areas of exceptional natural beauty in the Severn, West, Rhode, and South river watersheds. She has also worked on several entrepreneurial projects and has helped produce local events such as SocialDevCamp East, Barcamp Baltimore, and TEDxMidAtlantic.
