What Hackers Don't want you to know about stopping Cyber Crime
Hacks into corporate networks, banks and government networks and identity theft against individuals have become so common, they often don't even make the news. Various cyber crime reports say that the loss of intellectual property and sensitive data and the compromise of command and control networks for our nation's critical infrastructure (e.g., water systems, commuter train systems, banking systems) is reaching alarming rates, threatening our national security. Governments, politicians, CEOs, technology companies and exasperated security directors are looking for solutions to fight hackers and keep their networks and data safe.
I have the answer. It may not be what you expect (I'm not selling a product or service!) but this will work. Without giving it away, the plan involves reallocating funds spend on cyber security to coordinated management, detection and response activities. Think fewer activities performed well achieving a greater result - which in this case means greater security and data privacy for all. Hackers aren't going to like this.
